We're working with a well-respected poultry operation to help them find a hands-on leader who can support their Poultry Health team while ensuring top-notch quality assurance across multiple farms. This is a great opportunity for someone who's equal parts coach, problem-solver, and detail-lover.
As the Poultry Care Technician (PCT) Team Manager, you'll work closely with the Director of Poultry Health to support team development, maintain compliance and records, and improve animal care practices through audits and training. You'll be based out of one facility, but will travel regularly to two other sites to ensure consistent standards and team support.

THE ROLE
Team Leadership & Development
- Support and guide team members across three farms—onboarding new hires, providing hands-on training, and conducting regular performance check-ins.
- Lead weekly team meetings, schedule 1:1s, and handle annual reviews for PCT I and II team members.
- Ensure your team understands their roles and stays aligned with overall health and welfare goals.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular on-farm audits and assist with internal reviews to maintain compliance with animal welfare and operational standards.
- Partner with the WCE team to rotate audit duties and keep a fresh perspective on each site.
- Spot gaps, trends, or areas for improvement in real time and help implement solutions.
Health Monitoring & Records Management
- Assist with flock monitoring, verify digital flock records, and maintain data accuracy.
- Dive into reports (like Zero Reports) to flag missing data and work with production managers to close the loop.
- Track and analyze data trends—like worm counts and flock health patterns—to support informed decision-making.
Vaccination & Supplies Oversight
- Oversee vaccine inventory and order supplies based on projected needs.
- Coordinate deliveries, ensure proper storage (including temperature monitoring), and support any needed training refreshers for the team.
Training & Education
- Lead animal welfare training annually and coordinate additional learning opportunities—whether that's hosting an internal workshop or inviting in an expert speaker.
- Maintain training records and help make sure everyone is up to date with compliance protocols.
Cross-Department Support
- Jump in to assist with disease investigations or flock health reviews alongside the Contract Account Technician as needed.

- A passion for animal welfare, continuous learning, and training others.
Experience
- Either: A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science (or related field) + at least 2 years in live commercial poultry production
