An American-based, fast-growing feed additive company is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Vice President of Sales to lead and optimize its established sales team of seven while expanding it into a high-performing team of ten. The VP will collaborate closely with sales representatives to identify high-value customers, craft tailored sales strategies, and ensure effective execution. Additionally, the role involves partnering with marketing and technical services to drive sales initiatives and overseeing contract negotiations and rebate management to support the company’s ambitious growth objectives.
What needs to be Accomplished
Year One
    Work with each rep to identify top targets and develop sales strategies
    Hold each rep accountable for executing those objectives
    Ride along with each salesperson at least 2-3X
    Update variable compensation plan
    Hire at least two salespeople
    Build relationships with the marketing manager and tech team
Year Two
    Take over pricing responsibilities
    Transition key accounts from the C level to this role.
    Execute sales goals

Successful candidates will have
    Experience selling value-added feed additives for multiple species
    Led multi-state sales team of 5+ in animal nutrition
    The professionalism needed to relate well w/ C-level Exec’s & investors
    Strong management abilities: Analyze/Strategize/Plan/Execute
    The ability to overnight travel 50%
