Hi there! It’s Trish Valenzuela, the poultry recruiter for Continental Search. I’m excited to tell you guys that I will be accompanying my boss, Dan Simmons to my first national conference in the poultry industry, We’re attending the National Meeting on Poultry Health, Processing, and Live Production which runs from September 28 to 30. It will be at the Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland.
If you’re going, here are a few of the talks that you shouldn’t miss. Dr. Dan Bautista of the University of Delaware will do the Delmarva Chicken Health Update on the 28th. Dr. Randy Mitchell of Perdue Foods, LLC will discuss the difference between using probiotics and antibiotics to ensure gut health in poultry on the same day.
On the 29th, two talks will discuss the pros and cons of using antibiotics in raising poultry. “Raising Chickens With Antibiotics: Why and How?” will be discussed by Dr. David French of Sanderson Farms. “Raising Chickens Without Antibiotics: Why and How?” will be tackled by Dr. Chuck Hofacre of the University of Georgia.
There will be a lot of informative lectures that will help you improve your poultry venture. It is the place to be for people who are new to the industry and still important for those who have been in this industry for a long time but want to stay updated.
The poultry industry is forever evolving. For new and old people in this industry, seminars like this one are the best way to meet new faces, network and learn more about the industry they are in.
