In 1996 Dan Simmons created Continental Search because he saw a better way to recruit. A ‘better way’ means utilizing the latest technologies, working collaboratively, and building long-term relationships.
Dan still has this driving purpose, do it better. In 1996, the new technologies were resume banks and job boards (Monster began in 1994). In the 2020s, we utilize Artificial Intelligence, drip email campaigns, video, and concepts called ‘Market Mastery’ and ‘Committed Search.’
Now, collaborating means having a great team with leaders who manage their practices and being part of a premier recruiting franchise group, Sanford Rose Associates. And, doing it better means mastering our markets, offering The Continental Commitment, and being one of ten Nationally Accredited Firms, by the National Association of Personnel Services.
Our Value Proposition To You
To provide top talent to our clients as quickly as possible, we identified 7000+ of the top performers in animal health & nutrition and endeavor to stay in touch with them regularly so when a client asks us for an X located in Y; we already know most everyone in the market. We don’t have to find candidates; we simply reach out to friends.
We have over 1600 contacts in feed milling and are working daily to identify everyone working in the pork industry.
While we gladly work on a contingent basis like most of our competitors. We also provide the Continental Commitment, where we identify 75 prospective candidates for a client’s search and commit to reach out to each twice by phone and email/text. We then provide a slate of candidates within a pre-determined time frame, or a report on the changes that will be required for the client to fill the position.

We work on behalf of our client companies to search for and recruit highly qualified professionals.
One of Continental Search’s founding principles was to utilize and leverage technology with a personal touch. We have committed to leveraging technology with a personal touch in every aspect of our business. Our researchers have training in artificial intelligence and vendor training on our database, so we can quickly identify and communicate with potential recruits. We are implementing project management software that will allow us to handle more projects concurrently.
Our resources include investments in social media platforms, business platforms such as ZoomInfo, and five different contact data services. Simple improvements such as video interviews and DocuSign make us more efficient and effective, providing time to get to know our clients and recruits better.
