Dairy Specialist

Regional Feed Company seeks a Dairy Specialist to help the sales force and producers reach their potential. In this role, the Dairy Specialist will solve problems on farms, coach sales reps on the latest trends in dairy nutrition, and develop/manage the relationship with several progressive farms in central Minnesota.

 

Upward mobility exists for the successful candidate to assume increased responsibility due to the Director of Ruminant Nutrition nearing retirement.

 

Location: 

Candidates can live in NW Wisconsin, the Twin Cities, Stearns County, or nearby areas and will service accounts throughout Minnesota and NW Wisconsin.

 

The job:

• 40% technical support for the sales force, riding with territory managers making farm calls to customers and prospective customers.
• 40% sales development of an elite group of large, progressive herds and management of those accounts
• 20% administrative work, attending technical conferences, and creating content to support sales

To be considered for this role you must have:

• MS/PhD in dairy or ruminant nutrition with a working knowledge of how commercial dairy farms operate
• Enjoy meeting and communicating with dairy producers and sales reps
• Self-management and solid follow-up skills
