Director of Nutrition

Multi-species commercial feed manufacturer is in acquisition mode and seeks Director of Nutrition to lead a team of R&D and technical professionals while building trust with key customers, regional and local livestock producers in the Mid-Atlantic. 
This is a high-level role that will give you an opportunity to influence the direction of the business while gaining a deep understanding of key trends, performance indicators, and the landscape for nutrition services in today’s market. Self-direct initiatives, upskill nutrition knowledge, and capture the market with real market experience! 
The job:
40% customer facing
40% expansion mode
20% working with others (Leadership, Technical, Innovations & Research)
  • Develop and execute innovation strategy and agenda across business units
  • Build/develop an effective, competent & engaged team focused on nutrition advisory.
  • Coordinate and support the technical sales team and R&D
  • Relate technical knowledge to solve complex testing and process problems
  • Engage with customers, trouble-shoot on farm, and participate in training
  • Provide leadership and technical product support. 
  • Support Procurement to deliver best-cost ingredient margins, add value to customers.
  • Work side-by-side with leadership; work with innovations & research team
  • Travel: 40%
